"Tell me and I forget, Teach me and I remember, Involve me and I learn" Benjamin Franklin
After obtaining a bachelor's degree in sciences, I worked fifteen years in Paris and five years in Mexico, as an export sales agent for chemicals in a tasteless world…
When I came to Norway ten years ago, I decided to change my career by setting up my company "La Table" which specialized in catering, cooking classes, and birthday parties, and being a part-time teacher too.
As far back as I can remember, I have always had a passion for both world maps and cooking. Probably because my dad was a pastry chef, because of my dreams to travel the world, and that I grew up in the South of France where the cooking activity and sharing meals are like a religion?
Life is made to have unexpected and wonderful encounters. One of them was my first cooking class in 2017 with some 5-8 years old students of the Lycée Français d'Oslo.
This truly first experience as a teacher changed everything in my life! What a unique joy and privilege are to share my culinary and cultural knowledge with children on a daily basis.
In order to offer a better learning experience on my course, I realized that I needed to create an educational resource. We all learn better while having fun, and the idea to teach through play was the most effective solution.
Thus, the Xplor project was born as a unique interdisciplinary resource to spark curiosity and let children discover the world!
I truly think that there is nothing more beautiful in the world than creating smiles in children. Watching them smiling, and learning while playing my Xplor Games is my best reward and pleasure.
I hope that you will experiment with such beautiful moments while playing with your kids too.
