Program Curiosity Academy Mini Summer Camp

We are excited to invite your children to join our unique Curiosity Academy Mini Summer Camp, where fun, learning, and adventure await! As the ASA Cooking Teacher at the OIS, I'm delighted to bring a unique opportunity for your children this summer.
Over the years, I've seen firsthand how interactive learning can ignite curiosity and foster a love of discovery in our students. With this in mind, I've developed a fun, educational game named "Xplor Games": https://www.xplorgames.no/

First camp  Monday, August 7th to Friday, August 11th  from 2 pm to 5 pm each day 

Monday, August 7th - Xplor the Chocolate History: Your child will journey through the rich history and origins of cacao, using our interactive Xplor Games. The day concludes with a hands-on experience where they'll prepare a delectable chocolate mousse and participate in a Chocolate Tasting Experience!

Tuesday, August 8th - Xplor Sciences in the Kitchen: Introduce your child to the fascinating world of molecular gastronomy! They'll learn about density, emulsion reactions, and create their own fruit spaghetti and a delightful mille-feuille chantilly-fruits dessert.

Wednesday, August 9th - Xplor Exotic Fruits: Our Xplor Games will teach your child about the origins of various fruits, followed by a visit to the local store. They'll also get a chance to bake with the fruits they've bought.

Thursday, August 10th - Xplor History and Geography: Your child will engage with our games and quizzes that make history and geography fun and accessible. The day ends with preparing delicious French crepes.

Friday, August 11th - Celebration Day: We'll celebrate the end of our camp with a session of our Xplor Game and a fun pizza-making activity.

Venue: OIS Kitchen.
Price first camp: 1390 Kr , which includes all the necessary ingredients for our cooking activities.

Second camp is from Monday 14th to Friday 18th from 2 pm to 5 pm each day. 

We're back with another different week of exciting activities at Curiosity Academy's Mini Summer Camp! For those of you who couldn't join us last week or wish to continue the adventure, we're thrilled to offer another five days packed with fun, learning, and new culinary creations!


Monday, 14th August: XPLOR THE Vanilla History
Embark on a fascinating journey to learn about the origin and history of vanilla using my Xplor Games. This day ends with the joy of baking a delicious vanilla cake.

Tuesday, 15th August: XPLOR Chemistry in the Kitchen
Experience molecular gastronomy, delve into concepts like density, and realize fruit pearls and a special dessert. Science has never tasted so good!

Wednesday, 16th August: XPLOR Exotic Vegetables
We'll use Xplor Games to learn about the origins of different vegetables, followed by a visit to the local store. The day ends in the kitchen, where we'll cook with our newly acquired ingredients.

Thursday, 17th August: XPLOR History and Geography
Explore history and geography through fun and interactive games, culminating in a hands-on cooking session where we'll prepare scrumptious French toasts.

Friday, 18th August: XPLOR and Sushi Celebration
We close our week with more discoveries via my game, followed by a sushi-making session to celebrate the culmination of another successful and fun-filled week!

*We can provide the convenience of picking up your child at 5:30 PM if required.
